The Mad Decent Block Party Attack Meadow Brook This Saturday

Last year the Mad Decent Block Party rolled into Pontiac and was one of the shows I regret most for not attending. For weeks after I heard stories, saw pictures and posts about how great the show was so I made a promise not to miss it when it comes back around. Well the calendar has been marked and the days have been ticking by, in 6 days, the Mad Decent Block Party comes back to town and it's going to be bigger and badder. With Dillion Francis, RiFF RAFF, Flosstradamus and many more, this year's MDBP promises several hours of DJ party music and good times.

Here's some more details on the artists:

Dillon Francis, one of the pioneers of moombahton, first signed with Mad Decent, releasing his first official EP, Westside, in early 2011. His dancehall “Westside” and “Masta Blasta” became an underground sensation amongst the electronic dance community. His currently untitled debut album is slated to be released in July 2014 on Mad Decent.

Diplo, the Los Angeles-based American DJ/producer/rapper who founded and the Mad Decent record label, started the Mad Decent Block Party in his hometown of Philadelphia in 2007. Today Mad Decent stops in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, Las Vegas, Washington D.C, Fort Lauderdale, Atlanta, Brooklyn, Dallas, Detroit, New Braunfels, San Diego and Canada.

Flosstradamus – DJs J2K and Autobot – spent the last eight years breaking new sounds around the globe and becoming club kings in the process. They have the knack for flipping popular tracks in unexpected new ways, from their earliest DJ blends to high-energy hybrids like the duo’s hit remix of Major Lazer’s “Original Don.” The boys from Chicago bring an irresistible sense of fun to every single set, whether it’s a sweat-soaked nightclub or in front of thousands at Lollapalooza.

London-based trio I See MONSTAS have been described as reworking the dance format while introducing us to a world of decadent basslines, drumbeats, and musical catharsis. Inspired by UK bass and soul, their first pounding synth-laden offering “Holdin On” was released last year, and the video became MTV’s most popular premiere of the year. The video now has over two million Youtube views and counting. Their self-titled EP reached #1 in the UK and US iTunes electronic chart after selling 100, 000 tracks.

Toronto trio Keys N Krates formed as the brainchild of Adam Tune, David Matisse and Jr. Flo in 2008. Their most recent release SOLOW EP, was released on Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak Records in 2013.

The shamelessly eccentric Houston-born rapper and pop culture icon, RiFF RAFF, is climbing up the media ranks and is gearing up to record material for Mad Decent for his highly anticipated 2014 studio album debut. His incomparable drawl and massive viral presence have led to standout collaborations with Soulja Boy, Kid Sister, Chief Keef, Action Bronson and many more.
