STATIC presents…SUMMERFEST 2 SONGWRITER SHOWCASE

Join us on the summer solstice on Friday, June 21st to celebrate summer with a night of acoustic music with five of Detroit's finest singer-songwriters as they perform an acoustic showcase at The Corktown Tavern.
  
Featured performers are:
 
Audra Kubat - An essential voice in the music scene, Kubat has been performing her folk music to local audiences since the '90s, she has five albums to her credit and is currently working on finessing new songs for album number six for a Fall release. She launches an Indiegogo campaign on June 18th to help raise funds for this new venture.  www.audrakubatmusic.com

Emily Rose - This traveling singer-songwriter has released two albums; "Cocoon Stew" ('08)  and "Porchlight Tragical" ('11) and took home the award for "Outstanding Songwriter" in the acoustic music category in this year's Detroit Music Awards. www.emilyrose.bandcamp.com
 
Jay Graves - Local rock troubadour Jay Graves has been honing his craft on the road for the past few years performing in Denver and Los Angeles. www.reverbnation.com/jgraves

Man Francisco - Man Francisco is the name under which Francis Jaramillo and friends have performed original music since 2008. He recently completed a successful Kickstarter campaign to finance the debut album, "No Man's Fran."
 
This is the second edition of Summerfest Songwriter Showcase produced by Static Network to showcase new and old favorites performing an intimate concert on Friday, June 21, 9 pm at The Corktown Tavern located at 1716 Michigan Avenue in Detroit, 313-964-5103, www.corktowntavern.com
 
 21 & over are welcome and cover is $6 or $5 with a can of cat food, a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Hater Kitty Rescue Army, a local cat rescue group who shelters, feeds, fixes, and fosters cats in need.
