Bringing their bawdy, rowdy and unrelenting sound to Detroit this past Tuesday, the Dropkick Murphys unleashed a set of over 25 songs upon the eager Detroit crowd. Chants of "Dropkick Murphys!" started as soon as the Turbo AC's left the stage and the lights came up for a set change. Not a band that known for it's laid back style, they blasted right in to their set, bringing their tough Boston attitude, glaring and blaring with each number they played that night. With a setlist encompassing their many albums over the years, it was hard to choose a favorite of the night. The set was sprinkled with songs old and new, along with many songs from their forthcoming album "Signed and Sealed in Blood". And of course, no Dropkick Murphys show is complete without fists pumped in the air, and bodies crowd surfing across the sea of fans, many of which were dressed in kilts and adorned flat caps to match. And what better way to end the show than by inviting a bunch of women up on to the stage to celebrate?
